As a Bounty Hunter the player can choose to become a Powertech, focusing on using a single blaster pistol and a flame thrower to the Bounty Hunters advantage, or choose to become a Mercenary, wielding two blaster pistols and an arsenal of explosives including missiles and explosive darts. As an Operative the player is up close and personal and resorts to using the Vibroblade and a blaster rifle. As a Sniper the player can use a sniper rifle and a Vibroblade for close range attacks. The Imperial Agent, can choose to become a deadly Sniper or an Operative. The Sith Inquisitor can then choose to become a Sith Assassin or a Sith Sorcerer, the Assassin carrying a double-bladed Lightsaber, and the Sorcerer wielding a single bladed Lightsaber focusing more on using the Force. On the Empire side the Sith Warrior can choose from a Sith Juggernaut or a Sith Marauder, the Juggernaut wielding a single Lightsaber while the Marauder wields a pair of Lightsabers. The Trooper can either choose the Vanguard wielding a high powered blaster rifle, or the Commando carrying a heavy but devastating assault cannon. A Smuggler can choose to be a Gunslinger, duel-wielding two blaster pistols, Or a Scoundrel wielding a single blaster pistol. The Consular can choose from a Shadow, wielding a double-bladed Lightsaber, or a Sage wielding a single Lightsaber focusing more on using the Force.
On the Republic side, the Jedi Knights can choose the role of a Guardian or a Sentinel, the Guardian wields a Single Lightsaber while the Sentinel wields a pair of dual Lightsabers. On the Sith Empire side the player can choose to play as a Sith Warrior, a Sith Inquisitor, an Imperial Agent, or a Bounty Hunter.Īs the player progresses through the game each playable role then gets to choose one of two advanced classes. As the Galactic Republic the player can choose to be the famous Jedi Knight, a Consular, a Smuggler or a Trooper. The player can choose from four different playable roles on each side. This isn't a good class if you want to duel-wield. The Scoundrel only gets 4 feats by level 8. They are the only class that can get tier 3 weapon-profficiencies (which gives you +2 damage with that weapon type). If you play as the Soldier you will have 8 feats by the time you're a Jedi. The Scout has highest saving throws of any class in the game (including Jedi) and you will be able to get Repair or Computer Use.
You also get 3 free feats (Implant 1, 2, and 3). If you play as a Scout you will have 5 feats by the time you become a Jedi at level 8. Tier 3 Power-Shot deals +20 damage per round while duel-wielding, whereas Critical-Strike and Flurry deal random damage. NOTE: Power-Shot is better than Critical Strike or Flurry when duel-wielding any weapons besides Lightsabers.
